Introduction
This is a travel book of sorts, a record of a twelve month sabbatical in Europe, plying the sun-drenched Mediterranean amongst other ports of call. It's also a template for scrap-booking and several of our friends who have fingered the hard copy have commented that it has been a source of inspiration for cataloguing their own journeys. It's a compendium of people, places and events encountered along the way and rendered in maps, photographs, postcards, sketches, vignettes and anecdotes. The trip itself was a fabulous adventure, vividly remembered and relived every time we crack the spine. Hopefully, you'll enjoy the journey almost as much as we did, and take note, unlike most vacation slideshows, you can turn this one off without offending the hosts.
About the Authors
Linda Shawcross (nee Finlay)
Linda Shawcross originally hails from the White Inch district of Glasgow, Scotland and emigrated to Brampton, Ontario in 1964 where she excelled at business studies, mini-skirt modeling and the Harlem Shuffle. She graduated from Sheridan College, Oakville Campus in 1971 and worked as an executive assistant for a number of years before jacking all that in to become a fulltime mother of Nicole (1980), Robert (1982) and Steve, of course, who apparently needs two. She has been married to the latter individual for 36 long, long years and as a result is due for sainthood any moment now. This is her third extended tour of Europe and she still can't read a map worth a damn.
Stephen Shawcross, enough about him already.
